On ugly weekends
And so the weekend sucked.
I mean, what with the blue skies, hours in the sunny parks, perfect temperatures, a nice breeze, excellent food, flowers all over the place and playing with kids and dogs, who could endure?
Oh, and Discovery Green, the new park downtown, just sucks. It has all of this awful green space, and cool, er, horrible fountains, and it's full of mangy mutts, because it's dog "friendly." And the kids! The kids just love the place, which of course makes it even more intolerable. The playground is waaaaay too cool for kids to deserve, and the fountain just begs for them to romp around in there. Add a terrible, disgusting weather situation, and you have a recipe for disaster. I'm so glad we only spent a few hours there.
