The Alias watching continues, though we're still only in the middle of season one. We've taken to going through my wig collection to be properly coiffed to watch hot girl-on-girl action, as Smash puts it. (Smash likes the Ana/Sydney fights. She's going to love, love, love the season finale of season 2.) At the rate we're going, it'll take us to December and at least six cases of wine to get through season five.

All of my camping equipment is sort of strewn around the back yard right now, supposedly drying. I just got it all back from the container on Saturday, and I cleaned most of it last night.

It hasn't rained in a week, the forecast was clear, so of course it rained buckets for an hour or so today.

This guy looks interesting. He's a former Pentacostal preacher who had a bit of a conversion and lost his 5,000 plus member flock because he became increasingly convinced that you don't have to be Christian to be saved. He's coming to the Unity Church and Rice University's Boniuk Center for Religious Tolerance tomorrow night here. I'm not quite sure where the event is, but it could be cool.

I'm going to a Rick Noriega fundraiser instead, though. I'm slightly more worried about the Senate race than I am the state of my soul. I fucking hate John Cornyn and think he's an embarrassment to Texas. I absolutely adore Rick Noriega and hope to hell he can pull it off. It's been a long time since I've equally loved and hated opposing candidates. Well, maybe not so long. (ETA: I really fucking hated Martha Wong.)
