The car saga continues...
So apparently they had to redo my engine.
Last week, I smelled something funny, so I decided to take the car back into the shop. The manager of the shop and I peered under the hood for awhile, and right as I was beginning to think I was being paranoid, he spotted something I didn't like.
I picked up the car later on that day and drove straight to the airport. Apparently, a seal wasn't properly put on, and since it was related to the original "take out the engine, replace the head gasket, re-machine the engine, and put it back in" job, they didn't charge me.
On Monday, I was running an errand during lunch, and I noticed that my car was leaking green stuff. I drove it straight to the shop, and they gave me a loaner.
I hadn't heard anything since then, so I called a couple of minutes ago to see what was going on.
Apparently something hasn't been machined properly, and they had to take everything out and put it back in again. No charge, but damn, this is a fucking pain in the ass.
I feel like I should note to the vehicle gods that it's my sister that they hate, not me.
