A party of Christian hypocrites
Oh, and another thing, I never, ever want to hear a Republican talk about Christianity ever fucking again. Cutting health services to the poor? Taking poor kids off of school lunch programs?
The New fucking Testament talks over and over and over again about helping the poor. It's the goddamned theme of the fucking book. Not "Plan B is against god's will." Not "god hates fags." Certainly not "intelligent design beats out observable science." It's help the poor. Help the poor. How more clear does "Love your neighbor as yourself" have to be?
That Federal budget has a LOT in it. I'm ok with cuts to student loans, even though it means that we'll probably have a slightly less educated populance in the next few decades and China and India will have that much more dominance over us to the point where we're wondering what the fuck happened. I'm super-duper ok with looking that monstrosity of the Medicare Part D clusterfuck that a Republican congress with no idea how to put together a social program that actually helps out *gasp* the constituancy needing the program instead of the corporations that line their pockets. I'm even ok with cuts for funding to programs that I rather like, like arts programs and the CPB, ESPECIALLY if it means that CPB gets out from under the political thumb of this Congress. I sort of think that NPR and PBS could probably pay for themselves if cut loose.
But of course, they target the poor and the sick. It's disgusting and un-Christian and I hope they go to hell for it.
