Yes! I tried to race back in time to go painting yesterday, but I got delayed by having to wash Crianza. She was very dirty after her trip into the pond.
Let's just say there was a lot of flailing and a lot of coughing and at the end of the whole thing no one was on the raft. Not even Claudia, who, though at a safe distance, fell off of hers because she was laughing so hard.

Thank you for bringing a HUGE smile and a suppressed giggle (damn the open concept office!) to my Monday morning. That is the funniest mental image EVER!!!
I am sorry it is at the expense of a bruised belly and I do hope you heal quickly. Arnica cream or gel usually helps bruises dissipate quickly and helps with the tenderness. Witch Hazel is great, too.

It was apparently as funny as your mental image. Holden gave no warning whatsoever that he was going to jump. It was a total surprise to me. In terms of injury, Claudia looks like she's doing worse than me. Her baby clawed her right breast in an attempt to climb on top of her, er, top.
I too took advantage of tax-freeness, and bought the boy some pants. Between his tendency to wash everything in hot water and the effects of my loving preparation of most of his food intake over the last year, he needed some. :-)
Man, that weekend at the ranch sounds good. First weekend in September the boy is back to SF for a conference, and I can't go because of class (if I had a TA? I would so turn around and go with him, just a week after we get back ourselves...). If you go up then, I may tag along. I definitely think there needs to be a group outing at some point. He won't get in the pond, but I will! :-)
Yay! You're more than welcome to come! I think Liv will be in town that weekend, but I'm not sure what the plans are. If not that weekend, then sometime in September.
Relampago doesn't really have an incident. He just doesn't like water. It doesn't have anything to do with baths. He just doesn't see the point of getting wet.

Did Relampago have An Unfortunate Incident regarding ponds, or does he just regard them as sneaky attempts to give him a bath?
*healing vibes* *hugs* *SO much love!*

I'm glad there's no incident. *g* The cats share his view of water...
We used to have one that liked to pounce on a gentle stream of water from the hose though, and would try to bite it mid-stream too. *g*
