The Disco Fireplace is Dead, long live the Disco Fireplace!

Two and a half months after it begun, the disco fireplace rehabilitation is complete.
It was a long and arduous process, and we ended up going to bed at three thirty this morning, but it's done.

Beautiful! I love it.

My whole wall is brick (white). There is a 4x4 board that is a "mantle" that I really want to replace with one of the older plaster or wood carved three-sided mantles. One side of the place is my altar space (has 3 shelves and one of our book cases fit below them. I also have a cabinet (must have been for vhs tapes) that I liberated from a pile of junk at the curb in our subdivision that is now the herb cabinet inside and my Yemaya altar on the top.

I also inherited 2 of the 4x8 bookcases from DJ and a large 8x8 that she made (that will be in the dining room).

Such a difference it makes! And I've lived in a "house of mirrors" too, and it can be very irritating. Your solutions are wonderful!
