"Hey, hon. All packed?" She gave his upper arms a squeeze as she kissed him back. "Weather there's pretty much like here, right? 'Cause I packed for that."

She'd also packed a nice dress and her favourite heels, just in case.

"All packed and ready. How about you, ready for this?" He wrapped his arms around her, afraid he was rushing her.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Anna hugged him tightly. "I'm a little nervous, but I want to meet your family, your mom and dad and your siblings. I want to see where you came from."

"My family is great. They may hug the hell out of you." He chuckled softly, then smiled. "I'll show you around when we are in Dallas."

Anna gathered her belongings and followed Nick off the plane. She tried not to fidget as they made their way through the airport. She hoped she was presentable; she wanted to make a good impression on Nick's family.

At the luggage carousel, it was easy to identify her suitcase: it was shiny, hard-sided . . . and bright, shiny pink.

"No one ever takes my luggage," she told Nick. "Most guys won't even touch my suitcase, let alone mistake it for theirs."

Nick simply chuckled moving with her through the airport, his hand on the small of her back protectively almost. He grabbed his bag, as well as hers and winked. "I'm not most guys Darlin'"

That was when he heard it, a man's voice calling out.

"Pancho!"

Nick chuckled and turned around going and hugging the man.

"Hey Cisco."

They were soon joined by an older woman who gave Nick a look.

"What no hugs and kisses for your mother? Come now Nick."

He snickered and hugged her kissing her cheek before turning to Anna.

Mom, Dad this is Anna. Anna, my parents."

"Pancho, huh?" she asked, with a grin aimed at Nick. "It's nice to meet you in person, Your Honour, Mrs. Stokes."

She extended a hand towards the older Stokeses.

Nick chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his neck then. "Me and my dad used to watch The Cisco Kid when I was younger."

"Oh please call us by our names. Don't need to be so formal." His father gave a wink and smiled. "Nice to meet you. Nick talks about you a lot."

His mother spoke up then. "He does, though you are as beautiful as he said you were."

Nick just groaned at that.
