so i haven't updated in about a week, so i'm going to ramble on a bit about various things. brace yourself...
i find it sacrilegious that TBS will be broadcasting censored, cut-down versions of sex and the city. the whole idea behind sex and the city was that they could talk about sex without blushing. but that does mean more Big. hee hee. :D
ah well...
so i'm leaving for boston tomorrow. it is a crisp and refreshing 41* F with rain. i'm excited about going, but not real wild about the weather. oh well, i'll get used to it.
and i'm so sick of all this conservative bullshit. george bush, the leader of the free world, got up in front of hundreds at the 60th annual white house correspondents' association dinner last week and made fun of the war on iraq. he showed a slide show of pictures of he and his staff looking under furniture and pictures on the wall for weapons of mass destruction. while appalling, the part that truly pisses me off is that: A. people at the dinner laughed and applauded, and B. that no one seems to really care. I'd think that more people would have been offended by george's display. i know i am. so much for the liberal-controlled media.
why does murphy hate me so much? every guy i like is going out with another girl.
this year brings a new tradition. usually we go to church for easter and cook a huge dinner, but we're flying home on sunday, so we're going to nelson's instead. i'm unnaturally excited about this. the only downside is that the idiot nephews will most likely be working instead of leslie. this is a bad thing.
william h. macy in pleasantville cracks me up.
i was driving somewhere (and i believe rachel was with me) and i happened to notice that my friend ben's house is up for sale. he's a senior and going off to college like us, i just never imagined his parents would move too. apparently he'll be going to school in virginia or north carolina and his parents are going to to go virginia to take care of his maternal grandparents. it's not a bad thing, just took me by surprise.
huh.
i saw in the paper this morning that a group of roman catholics, including several members of the clergy, were protesting gay marriage on a walk through north beach. i'm not particularly pleased with the catholic church at this very moment, nor am i all that happy to be catholic. they'll go out of their way to march and make signs that say "love and tolerance yes, gay marriage no". which is fine. honestly. marriage is a religious institution and it is the church's right to decide whether they bestow marriage on gay couples. however, my real beef is that they still push the pedophilia issue under the rug, but go all out to protest gay marriage.
i'm so glad i live in the twentieth-first century.
dockers pro style ad + new gap ad with super sexy guy = very good
cold + allergies + six hour flight to boston = not so good
