198: Superpowers
If you could have any mutant/super power, which one would it be, and what would you do with it?
There was a time when I didn’t believe in that sort of thing. When I was as innocent and naïve as Noah could keep me. I would have laughed if someone asked me this question, given some flippant, off-the-top-of-my-head answer. But now? I have to think about it. Almost everything I’ve seen has been… frightening or dangerous. A man broke into my house and… blew it up, just with his bare hands. There’s a man that takes memories. I know that too well, now. There’s just so much… and I would never want any of it. The only reason I could think of to ever want one of these abilities is to understand what my daughter, my Claire, is going through. To help her, and protect her from all those others. Anything that would let me do that is all I could ask for. But I’d rather just be me.
