Day off
So i took the day off for my birthday today, thank you for all the well wishes.
I never liked working on my birthday, in the past because my mom always insisted upon my being around to celebrate it and not at work till god knows when. Plus, the whole its MY day sort of thing and if I want to play Gears of War 3 till 4 AM well frell it I will!
We celebrated this year with the gift giving this last weekend, my parents got me a Blu Ray player, since they are now reasonably priced and faster loading. Michele got me Thor for BluRay, my in-laws were kind enough to supply a gift card for the HDMI cable and I treated myself to the big ass Epic Edition of Gears of War 3.
Kind of like I did for Halo 3, same reasons pretty much too. I have invested so much of my personal time in the story and the world that if this is the conclusion I want to have the version with all the background goodies, and the Marcus statue is pretty nice too.
Plus nice day to have off work.
