Out for blood

She'd been avoiding the Blue Base for a reason, but enough was enough. O'Malley had taunted her for the last time. She's surprised at her own reluctance to kill Caboose, but she knows O'Malley too well to underestimate him. They's been one after all and she's parlty to blame for this ( Read more... )

O'Malley walks out onto the roof of the base. He's grinning under his helmet. "I thought you'd never ask."
He leaps down and lands, ready for action.

Tex doesn't reply, just studies him for a moment. His posture is so unlike Caboose's and it just makes her more determined to get this over with. She's got her handgun in its holster and the detonator Claire gave her is safely tucked away. She'll use them both, but not if she can prevent it. She doesn't wait then to see if he's ready, just launches at him, using all her strength as she hopes to knock him out with one blow.

He'd been expecting her to move quickly, and braces for the impact, grabbing at her hand as she comes in to deflect her rush away. "You haven't changed," he says, attempting to hit her in the stomach where the armour plates don't quite cover.

She jumps sideways, wrenching her hand out of his grip. The blow lands on her side instead, but she doesn't give herself time to think about it as she grabs hold of his shoulderplate and tries to use her own weight to pull him down.

"I have, there's a lot less whining in my head now," she growls.

He staggers, trying to keep upright. He attempts to turn Tex's attack against her, going to slam her in the chestplate instead. It's an awkward move, though.
"There's a lot less in mine, too - isn't that a coincidence?"

The blow is hard enough to make her let go and she staggers back.

"That's because you're doing the whining out loud," she crouches lower in a defensive move, waiting this time for O'Malley to come to her.

He pauses for a moment, not saying anything, working out his moves. Moving quickly, he runs in and goes for her throat area with a punch.

The move is too obvious and she waits until he's close enough to grab his arm with one hand as she reaches out and grabs him by the throat with the other. Her fingers tighten around the softer part of the armour and she pushes him off the ground.

He gasps, but realises he'd walked right into it. With his free arm, he tries to break her lock, hitting at her elbow; he tries to kick out at her at the same time, but it's hard when he's just kicking in the air.

She could choke him right here and now, and there's a part of her that has no problem with it, that doesn't care that she knows Caboose. She stomps it down, because it's the same part that she's strangling right now. Just at the last minute, she throws him down hard on the ground and puts a foot on his chest. "This is over, O'Malley."

He grabs at her leg with both hands to push her over and away from him. "Hardly, Allison. I'm just warming up."

Tex fall down on her back, it knocks the wind out of her and it takes a moment before she is scrambling back up to her feet. "Good, I was starting to get worried that I taught you nothing at all."

"You taught me?" He watches what she's doing carefully, getting into a defensive stance himself.

Tex laughs and seizes him up for a moment. "I would have taught you'd have changed your name by now, Omega."

She jumps at him once more, this time kicking out at him, knowing that it's risky as she'll easily be caught off balance.

"Hmm. Maybe I should go back to just that, but - well, O'Malley always worked for me..."
While he blocks the attack, it takes him off balance, and he takes a while to steady himself before he lashes out next, kicking back.

At the same moment as he kicked out, Tex had grabbed hold of Caboose's arm. The kick comes unexpected and she loses her balance, but she doesn't let go as she falls down once more.
