Something not to do before a vacation.
Which is what happened to me this afternoon.
What happened is a fire truck was going through the intersection. Myself and the other drivers had pulled over to the side. The person who hit me was nearly turning northward, and I was behind two cars going east. There was a car turning north on my side of the intersection.
After the fire truck went through traffic resumed normally. The car that hit me did kind of a U-turn and started heading south while I was heading east. It happened after the two cars ahead of me went through the intersection. I would have a drawing, but livejournal can't display it properly.
The people that witnessed the accident called the police and a statement was taken from everyone that was there. A couple of tow trucks were called because both vheicles were undrivable. It was determined that it was the other driver's fault, and he is filing a claim with his company. So I should be hearing form them soon, probably over the weekend. Right after the accident I called work and told them, along with various other people.
I made sure I called jdarkwulf since I could no longer drive my car to the airport, thankfully he agreed to drive.
My parents also got informed so I will probably be borrowing a car from them when I get back. That and we're going to look for a replacement car if mine does get totalled.
The bad thing is that this person was the husband of a teacher that works for the school district. He also recently got over a stroke. Good thing is nobody got hurt.
I'm going to get the rest of my list done now.
