Israel should not be a Jewish State

In the same way that the US is not a Christian state. Because when religion gets mixed up with politics you get nasty &^%$ like this:

I'm ok with letting ultra-orthodox rabbis decide who they want to consider Jewish, and have academic arguments on the topic. I guess I'm even ok with them only accepting religious conversions that are much stricter than the actual behavior of most born-Jews. I don't agree with it, but I'll go to my shul with my daughter and welcome converts, mixed couples, etc, etc. as I see fit, and they can go to theirs.

But there's no way that these black-suited bozos should be running a democratic country's immigration policy according to their puritanical biases. How do you impeach a chief rabbi? And do the rest of us in the World Zionist Conspiracy get a vote?
