Twidling my Thumbs... Summer Recap
Like many days after leaving my job at the law firm I spent the day, cleaning my room, thinking about how to make my kayaking better and now with the rain, not even being able to go play golf! So I have decided to start a live journal to rant and rave about life and to keep anyone whose interested about whats going on.
So Im' now going to recap my summer vacation in two parts, kayaking and everything else. First off, kayaking! June seemed to come and go easily, not much happened, I went and trained for the gorge games alot and then hung out in hood river drinking way to much alcohol and spending to much time looking at older girls out of my class! lol, I dont recommend that to anyone but it can be fun and sometimes you actually get lucky sometimes :). So then july hit, on the fourth i was down by crater lake to do a video shoot for a tv ad for Dagger, we were doing a first decent of this local waterfall, only a 50 footer but, like always, I was just the test rabbit, I ran it, then this big shot Tao Bergman got the credit and all the TV time. I hate not being 18 for that reason. So then the gorge games came. Now Im the local pro so I was suppose to kick everyones ass's at these games since Im able to boat them all the time! wrong! the extreme race was first, I was paddling strong I drop over big brother (a 35 footer) and get caught in a cave, destroying my time and it destroyed my chances of placing at all, I took 9th out of 14 how shitty is that. Since then kayaking has been at an all time low, I have only gone out for myself like 2 or 3 times, I have been teaching but that doesnt really count.
Now for my regular life! As of June 21st I began working at D'Amore and Associates a law firm downtown where I found myself a little job making just more than 18 an hour, actually more cuz I got this little bonus at the end for helping on this big case but yah the money kicked ass, but 40 hour weeks at the firm and usually 15-20 in my boat got to me and I left that job after the first week of august. But in the experience I am now pretty sure that I want to be a lawyer and I now know how to get around in portland which kicks ass, that town is amazing! Now for the rest, Two weeks into the summer break this girl talks to me over AIM, I have really no idea who she is, I learn later that it was Samantha Lee, this girl that I knew from Japanese but had never really talked to her, she got my SN from someone and sent an IM, now slowly a little friendship with her and her pals, ben, kelly, chris and scott seems to be blossoming which I am stoked about they all seem to be really cool people. We were suppose to goto the beach today but weather did not cooperate :(. wow my spelling tonight sucks. So thats the basics of my summer so far.
Now the casualties... Luckily no one in my group of kayakers has died yet but our always dangerous trip to idaho will hopefully not come to anything terrible.
Hopes and dreams... well, I dont really know!
and the question on my mind for the day that maybe you can help me with!
Knowing my personality who at our school could I date?
Do people actually find Mr./Ms. right?
