I got promoted at work.

Getting promoted at work.

My failure to start a new programming project once I'd finished Hangman

My shiny Volvo V40

My friends Faye and Rob, who are embroiled in adoption procedures

Sadly, the Volvo.

Tidying the house. What a waste of time that is, it only gets untidy again.

Christmas morning at home, noon at my parents house and evening at Jane's parents house.

Much as I hate to admit it in company, but pretty much the only TV show I've watched all year was "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!"

I re-read "His Dark Materials" by Phillip Pullman. That was as good the second time around as the first.

That I shouldn't get on stage at other peoples birthday parties and attempt to sing "Yesterday".

Well, there's the Volvo.... I also got a projector.

Spiderman 2.

I had a barbecue with all my friends. I was 29.

We have new anti-static, ESD safe polo shirts at work, so I don't have to wear that stupid blue smock anymore. Hurray!

Lack of things to make me insane.

The England cricket side touring Zimbabwe.
