Politics in cricket

It's quite a difficult one, this. In an ideal world, I don't think politics should interfere with sports. However, we don't live in an ideal world. As such, I don't think that the England cricket team should be touring Zimbabwe next month.
The only people who gain out of this tour are the government of Zimbabwe, and Robert Mugabe. As far as English cricket goes, this is the Tour that Nobody Wants. There is still no television deal here for the one-day internationals that will be played out there, since Sky Sports wisely don't want to associate themselves with the tour, and English sponsorship is proving hard to come by.

For those who haven't heard the story, a brief precis can be found here. I'd be interested in other peoples thoughts on the matter.
