bana bana!

inspired by last weekend's eurovision madness, i had fun trying to find the songs of my childhood on youtube. i got some great gems out of it, but also a great shock. one of my old favourites turned out to be about our very own bana!


this could simply be a blip in history, but i'm not so sure. it seems bana has a deep hold on the imagination of the the turks, both in azeri folk as well as artsy-fartsy places. the influence has even spread to my own home waters.

what next? a hyooge bollywood production dedicated to the mighty bana? i fear his power!
