[Baiken's health has gone downhill pretty rapidly in the past couple days. She's dangerously pale, her eye bloodshot and tired. Strong shivers are running throughout her body.

Overall, she looks annoyed about it. Those who know her well enough would be able to spot her usual cover-up act, though her weak voice is a dead giveaway anyway.]Oi, d-d- ( Read more... )

[Unlike most of the knocks he took to his rock-hard head, her bat had snapped a bit of revelation into him. Raising his head to look to her he caught only the back of her head. [As he settled down beside her, Baiken was a little surprised with herself just how comfortable she was with the action. For as much as she'd been telling herself over the years that she couldn't allow such shows of affection, it really did feel good to just let him close for once. When everything else hurt so much, every breath like fire, she figured it would be fine to allow just this one thing. With a low sigh, she dropped her hand down to rest across his shoulders, simple acknowledgment that she was fine with this situation.

Besides, he was the only person she had ever trusted with her life. Somehow, it seemed appropriate to trust him with her death as well.]

Oi... you'd b-better be there... when I w-w-wake up.
