A Song for a Broken Heart and A Show for a Good Feeling

Well, I've never actually been heartbroken before, but if I had, this would be the song that I would listen to on repeat and cry myself to sleep with.  T_T  I already cried a lot hearing it in the kdrama, You're Beautiful.  The OST has four versions of it, and I love them all.  The song is called "Without Words" and has a beautifully melancholic ( Read more... )

Hmm, how did I get into kdrama? I'm always surprised myself when I find a new fandom. XD I guess it's just getting into the music first, surfing YouTube, talking to other fans, and slowly picking things up like recommendations by word of mouth, you know? Like how I used to find animes or how I imagine you find Bollywood movies to watch?

I'm no expert though. I've only seen a few since I'm more into the pop than the drama. Oh, and I don't download or buy; I managed to just watch it with subs on YouTube. ^^; (I am seriously thinking about buying You're Beautiful though. ;)

There are the really famous ones like Winter Sonata, but I got bored after only one episode because I don't like really serious drama. Coffee Prince is a romantic comedy drama that's really popular, from what I hear; I might watch that next... Recently people talk about the epic period drama Queen Seon Duk and the expensive spy action drama IRIS.

Personally, I enjoyed Boys Over Flowers (based on the famous manga Hana Yori Dango which was adapted into Taiwan's popular Meteor Garden as well as a Japanese drama before the Korean version), and it was a huge hit last year all over Asia. It's a romantic drama that borders on fantasy due to its large budget plot of a common girl thrown into the life of the extremely wealthy. I think Netflix actually has it! But I particularly recommend You're Beautiful as a light-hearted romantic comedy. You may not get all the references, but it's still really fun! :D
