The Libertarian Party is all over the map individually on the issues. For example, many libertarians believe that we should have open borders, while others don't.
In my opinion, anyone who believes in open borders are dead set on destroying the US as we know it and therefore verge on being domestic terrorists. They are wolves in sheep clothing who believe in world communism where other nations would be given the right to steal, pillage, and economically rape us. They are without honor and display little duty for their country and constitution. Fortunately not all Libertarians think this way. But then again many do, and the last time I checked, "open borders" was part of the official Libertarian platform. It is enough to make a conservative vomit. PASS THE BARF BAG PLEASE.
As a result I no longer support Libertarians unless I know exactly what a given Libertarian stands for. For example, Ron Paul does not endorse open borders. And it is certainly refreshing to find a candidate who does not put the interests of Mexico or Israel before the interests of US citizens. A very rare quality.
And from what I've read, Ron Paul is an advocate of privacy. I don't know why you say otherwise. He voted against the Patriot Act because it violates privacy and our constitutional rights. In fact THAT IS WHY HE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! He can't stand the fact that the Republicans and Democrats are dead set on destroying our individual rights including privacy. He has made it his personal fight to stop them.
Regarding the Political Courage Test, he has taken the toughest test of them all -- that being his public voting record in the Senate. He has 1) Consistantly voted against the war, 2) Consistently voted against the Patriot Act, and 3) Consistently voted against aid for Israel. Actions always speak louder than words. And I challange you to show me where he voted any other way.
And for the record, Obama took the same test and FLUCKED IT like the war-financing nation-destroying looser that he is. As did Hillary.
