I said this journal would only be for fan art. BUT I LIED.
He is so cute!! I really like the name Ferdinand (wankersore first alerted it to me a year and half or so ago!) and I really like fish, so... Ferdinand!! He's quite difficult to photograph since he's always swimming around, plus my camera isn't really made for close-ups. He's living in a little 2 gallon tank on top of my sewing drawer. It's right next to my bed/couch, and is pretty central to the whole apartment, so he gets to see everything tht goes on.
He really likes the green plant on the left. When he isn't swimming all over the place like a crazy submarine, he usually rests near the top of his tank over the green plant (he's doing that right now as i type this!) I read that betta fish (which is what Ferdinand is) can recognize their owners, and i'm not sure if it's true or not, but it sure seems like it. When my boyfriend or me go up to his tank, he swims over and looks at us (or... it looks like he is!)
The best i could get for his colouring. He has bright red find, a dark reddish-brown body, and has shiney blue highlights on his body and fins. I really love how his fins look when he swims! The front ones are so tiny, and they move super quickly (i wave and wiggle my fingers at him trying to immitate his fins when he comes voer to see me. I'm that cool.) and the back ones remind of chiffon since they look so delicate and flowing.
That was way better than fanart anyways. <3
