The word Gay.
I've noticed a lot more people using the word Gay to describe something in a derogatory way. Then in the next breath say " Oh I don't mean anything by that." Well then why the hell would you say it? It's not cool to me. If you're using the word to describe something in a negative light, than the word will have a negative conotation. Nobody uses the word "shit" to describe something that smells good, because shit don't smell good. So why would you use a word you are saying is a positive word to describe something negatively?
USE ANOTHER FUCKING WORD. Or, don't try to make light of it and say it doesn't mean anything....because it obviously does if you have to try and exlain it away after saying it.
