[ No video, but whoever is on the other end sounds extremely pissed off. Also kind of British, for some reason. He hasn't got a very strong accent, but it's certainly present. ]

Where am I.

I'm sure that whatever you were doing before was very important, but I couldn't send you back there even if I did have the inclination to, so this will all go much more smoothly if you can cooperate.

That seems to be the most likely explanation, yes. I suppose they would have sent us back if they could already. I've found that humans tend to react badly to disturbances.

They're always trying to figure out the whys and hows of everything. Never happy with accepting the world at face value.

I thought so.
Far too curious for their own good, unfortunately. Then we get the ones who poke and pry in all sorts of things and are curious to a fault, even for mortals, and then you just have trouble.
