1) [And among the various mecha, there seems to be a new addition to the mix - a GAT-01A1 105 Dagger armed to the teeth with various Striker Packs, an odd beam saber-like hilt to the side. As it parks, the cockpit opens up, revealing a young girl, maybe no older than 16-17,
wearing such a strange piloting outfit.]Oh, wow... that was so cool! I

...I do not follow. Is sculpture looked down upon in these degenerate times?

What, exactly, is this?
[She takes the box out of the bag and starts looking it over.]

...And from the box, it seems to be one of many identical models...hm.
I see no reason to call it childish, yet. It's nothing compared to shaping marble, of course, but such is the state of society.
Do you mind if I watch you work on it?

[And with that, Reimi heads back to the ship, almost skipping in joy.]

...You're rather excited.

[She starts to blush over it, grinning sheepishly.]
I'll stop if you want me to.

Is this your room?
[She stops at whatever door Reimi stops at. What's it like inside?]

Yep, one second... [And Reimi opens the door to unveil a room that, among the normal bedroom essentials, has a small set of models of various mecha safely tucked away on a shelf.]

...plastic and paint...machine-made...and these appear to be stickers...
Pretty, but otherwise devoid of meaning...though I must question the greater ramifications of commercializing a war machine and selling it to children. It's much more advanced than the plastic soldiers of the 1950's, to be sure. Lacks the same...character that some of the wooden models used to have.
[She seems pretty interested in this stuff.]

Yeah, it is weird. But, some kids like the idea of being able to build them. They don't see it as war machines, they just see it as some sort of awesome hero that goes around beating up bad guys.
I guess a part of me sees it as a bit of escapism.

[She steps up and away from the models.]
To fight for the sake of others is not easy work. It has its rewards, and the ability to command great power is enjoyable, but it is dangerous, pays little, and often very frustrating.
You'd enjoy being a normal woman far more.

[she stops briefly, looking at that models, taking one down and messing with it.]
...why do you think I should just give up? I'm curious.

...You seem to think that being a "hero" will be full of bright colors, loving admiration from the people you protect, and at the end you'll be able to go home with your friends and relax like nothing ever happened.
It isn't like that. Your skin will crack and bleed, your friends will abandon you, and you will never recapture the innocence of youth.
Go home, before you find out how dark the night really is.

Maybe you're right. Maybe I jumped at the call too fast to realize what I was getting at and the consequences. Part of me wants to ignore all of this and keep going like nothing happened...
...would it really be wrong of me if I did go, though? I'm afraid if I do, I'd disappoint a lot of others.
