[Milestone battles are best capstoned by the victory celebrations following them, and tonight is no exception.  Especially when Gregory hauled out a massive keg filled with booze.]

Now then... hangovers tomorrow be damned, who wants to get drunk off their ass?

"Wonderful things"?

[Laura's looking over the pile with an appraising eye. She knows she won't be able to safely discard any but the most obviously broken and unusable parts, but checking to see which ones Greg then rejects will be educational.]

...Pretty sure most of these parts weren't intended to work together...

[He rests a hand on Laura's shoulder before kicking over a particular piece of scrap.]

The Type-Y AXI was never a practical machine. Right now I'd just like to get some sorta stopgap to try to cover its problems.

...Well, let's see what we've got, then.

[Laura joins the others in sorting through the heap, adding the parts that are obviously irreparable even to her to the discard pile, setting aside others to check with Greg. Once she has a basketful of the latter she comes to him.]

Some of these may still be useless, I'm not sure, but...?

[Gregory's also been at work sifting through the pile.]

If they are then they are. Anything in working order though is worth it, no matter how worn it may be.

If you're not sure about a part, put it with the other things you're discarding; I'd rather get one reliable part from all of this than ten that may die on me at a moment's notice.

[Laura looks back over her basket; all of them could still be broken in ways she's unable to spot.]

Ummm... okay then.

[Instead she checks them with one of the other mechanics, resulting in a third of her items joining the discards before she returns to Greg.]

I'm as sure of these as I can be.
