A. [phone post]

I know there is potato salad, but I was wondering if there were any other ways to creatively prepare potatoes for a meal. One cannot live on potato salad alone, I am afraid.

B. [action at Mayfield elementary school]

You peel potatoes, cut them up, put them in pot with water meats and vegetables and make stew.

Or, you poke holes and put potato in oven and cook for while. Then cut it open and put things on top of both halves.

Hm, I had not thought of roasting them. I prefer potato soup to any sort of stew, though.

You can also put them in hot oils after slicing them to fry them.

Potatoes are very useful, I see why Irish like them so.

They are versatile and full of nutrients, as well as being easy to grow in most soils. It would make sense that a culture would attach to them.

Though, we have grocery stores here, why do you need new recipes for just potatoes?

They are rich in iron and I happen to enjoy potatoes quite a lot.

Sometimes, you take what you can get.

Rely on one thing, and someone will take that away from you.

I seem to remember, even the Irish had a famine once.

I do not think that potatoes will be gone anytime soon. The famine you speak of was a rare occurrence.
