Hikari blinked, turning her head towards the entrance to the baths as she saw Izumi shouting at someone and... throwing the soap. She was so lazy and exhausted right now that it took her a few moments to realize that, oh crap, THERE WAS A GUY IN THE GIRL'S BATH LOOKING OVER AT THEM.
... At least until she realized what it was and sighed. A non-human thing that looked like a large, muscular thing. But there was one important detail that Izumi didn't know. "Izumi-san. That's a girl."
And said girl was really annoyed and glaring at Izumi now, but not saying anything.
"I'm so embarrassed," Izumi confessed, sinking into the water. "I thought it was hard adjusting to Japan and then the Digital World. Stacy is even stranger!"
Hikari blinked, leaning forward a bit. "It's alright. You'll get used to it eventually," she said. "Honestly, it took me a while before I was even able to really talk to a lot of people here."
"Really?" Izumi asked in surprise. The older girl seemed like she'd have a much easier time making friends--she didn't react the way Izumi did, and she wasn't at a complete loss when it came to cultural differences.
Hikari smiled. "Yeah. I mean, besides the fact that everything's different here, the only person I knew was Tailmon. And well... with what had happened, after everything. It was kinda hard to be happy and get used to everything that was going on with everyone."
"That does make sense," Izumi admitted, smiling. "I felt the same way when I moved back to Japan. Everyone I knew was an entire continent away, and I had to get used to a language I barely remembered anymore."
"Yeah. For a while there, I wasn't even sure if I really wanted to get to know anyone here," Hikari admitted. "I mean, to know that my world was gone after going through so much to save it was really upsetting. It definitely didn't help getting used to everything."
Izumi nodded, drawing her legs up close to her. "I'll never forget how horrible it was losing the whole Digital World. We were at least able to save it that time..."
Hikari blinked, pulling her own legs close to her as well. "Yeah. And... it's worse that we didn't even get to fight. I keep thinking that if the Dailog hadn't podded us on the ship, we might've had a chance to beat them. I know it's not likely, but after everything we fought, it didn't seem like there's any enemy we couldn't beat if we were all together."
Hikari forced a smile as she sat up a bit more. "Well... it's not like worrying about that's going to help right now. All we can do is keep fighting and hope that there's a way to bring our worlds back like we've been told."
