[Fate jumped at that. What in the world? Peeking into the hangar, she noticed Roads there maniacally laughing. Oooookay...]

Um, what's complete?

[Roads almost jumps out of his skin at the interruption]

Ah!

Um, I was just doing some fine-tuning on the Zweilicht, when I found some spare parts, and one thing led to another, and then...

[The robot he's standing in front of now looks like it could eat a fortress for breakfast, and still have enough firepower left over for dessert.]

...Well, I stuck on guns and armor up to just below the frame's theoretical maximum, along with explosive bolts to jettison them mid-battle.

[Fate stared for a moment. What is this monstrosity?]

Are you sure you can even move it, or does it need to be driven out on an anti-grav sled?

punches_vamps August 7 2011, 16:33:01 UTC
Well, technically it has an anti-gravity sled built into the additional armor, what with the Tesla Drives and all...

[And someone staring at wonder at the Corona is getting Julia into mascot mode as she beams brightly!]

It is! It really is! The HK-1138' Corona is just a taste of the newest line of Prominence Armors planned by Herrera Futuristics! It's a taste of things to come and it's proven to be a reliable machine!

Prominence Armors by Herrera Futuristics, huh...

...I've only ever really worked with Mobile Suits before. What are the differences?

All sorts of wonderful things! Like all other Prominence Armors, the Corona is dedicated to weaponry that's fallen behind by the wayside in the wake of developing beam rifles and sabers. But don't think it isn't cutting edge though!

Prominence Armors use railguns as their primary ranged weapon. They can deliver the same punch as a missile at a fraction of the size, and they're less energy-intensive than beam rifles! They have their own missiles for defensive purposes, like throwing off enemy targeting, and the Corona's starting out a new tradition!

[She gestures at the sword housed at its side.]

For years now, high-frequency blades seemed outmoded by beam sabers, but with the developments in microwave technology, they can be "sheathed" in microwave rays, letting them go toe-to-toe with them!

[Yeah, Julia's being very enthusiastic about this.]

Huh. Old man Reinhardt must have felt similarly to your company, then; the Zweilicht's got railguns and physical blades as well. Though, recalling the Big Zam, I can see where he was coming from...

Your machine was developed for ground combat, right?

Whatever.

[Michael was sitting on something close by, his body kind of worn out given the fact that he had to toss something several times his own size in Metal Wolf to prevent himself from getting stepped on.]

At least you still have something to fix instead of putting into the recycling bin.

punches_vamps August 7 2011, 23:29:34 UTC
Micheal, if those weapon pods get damaged, I can't fix them.

...Man, it's gonna take all night to fix up the hydraulics in the arms...

ROADS!

[There was a surprising silence after the loudly proclaimed name]

Knowing you all it'd take is a little elbow grease and a cup of coffee and then POW! Its fixed.

[MICHAEL looked like he had the utmost confidence in Roads' skills]

[Sigh.]

Yeah, well...that doesn't mean it's easy.

You should've seen it before Second Impact.

Yeah, I can imagine...I never really came to this part of the world back then. And I didn't pay as much attention to nature, either.

You don't look old enough that anyone would've expected you to, anyway.

Well, I've had an eventful life.

[But the robot being stared at isn't really a robot at all.

A mission's just ended, and Nanoha was making her way through the hangar when she notices you looking at her strangely.]

Umm...what do you mean by that, mister?

[Yes, this is a bit scary to her too.]

punches_vamps September 30 2011, 06:47:05 UTC
[Roads crouches down to her level, and starts inspecting Nanoha all over. Not in a perverty way, he's just looking over all her clothes and Raising Heart...okay, it's kind of creepy.]

Well, you've got far more firepower than anything else your size...and it's magical power too, which means that I should be able to incorporate the same technology into the Zweilicht.

Say, can I get a look at Raising Heart sometime? When you're not wearing it, I mean.

[Nanoha keeps an eye on Roads as the inspection begins. Oh, and she's very tempted to take a step back now, but she stifles that reaction somehow. After all, no one here would really do anything bad to her, right?]

The Zweilicht...?

Um, I guess I wouldn't mind you taking a look, if she doesn't mind too, that is.

But, who are you?

punches_vamps September 30 2011, 18:16:11 UTC
[It's a good thing for you that Roads is not A CHAR. He stops the inspection for a little bit to meet Nanoha's eyes.]

The Zweilicht's my unit. It's a Mobile Suit modified to have some magical subsystems, but they're pretty lacking right now...so anything I can improve it with would be great.

As for me...My name's Roads, and I'm an engineer here. Anything else you needed to know?
