[Enjoying your training, o fighty sparry battle type? Hope so, because a young boy has been nervously watching you from the other side of the street for a while now. After you've finished, he approaches you somewhat shyly and speaks up.]

So, um... hi. I know you don't know me very well, but some friends of mine said you knew how to fight. I was kind of wondering if you'd be interested in, er, showing me a few tips, or... sparring a little, if that's okay. I'm not really good at fighting, at all, but I'd really appreciate it! I can even pay you, if you want.

I know this is really out of nowhere, but I just... really want to get stronger. That's all.

[SUMMER LOVIN' EVENT aww yeah. You, young teenage lady, have been locked in a car at the drive-in movie theater with one (1) visibly awkward fourteen-year-old Japanese death row inmate, whom Mayfield has seen fit to dress in this monstrosity. He fidgets and picks at it uncomfortably; it is clearly several sizes too big for him.]

So.

Um. [He clears his throat.] This is... kind of a neat movie, I guess. Do you think they watch movies like this a lot in America? I bet they don't dress up like this...

[SPRING CLEANING EVENT, YEP. Guess who's tearing up the letter with his target's name on it in earshot of the open phone? When he's done, Ganta speaks into it, slowly, his voice filled with quiet anger.]

No.

My target's safe. If anybody comes after me, I'll fight to protect myself, but I am not going to kill anybody just because this damn town told me to. I'd expect the same out of any of you. I guess that's too much to ask from some.

This is no better than what they do back home. It's sick. If you can't figure that out, or if you just don't care, then that's fine. That's your choice. But if we've spoken, if you think we're friends, even a little, and you actually go through with this? Don't even bother talking to me again.

[The anger breaks in him, in a little, and when he speaks next, he sounds like nothing more than a young boy, lost and sad.] ...We'll never win if we play by their rules.
