Not the first time it happened, and probably not the last time. This is a dangerous line of work.

Four years. But I've been a soldier for much longer, started even before Second Impact.

That's a long time. I was already an experienced pilot before Second Impact, but I've spent 15 years retired, too.

Yeah. Old soldiers like us are needed, though - to look after the young ones, at least.
