Emil had been watching her pace about for the last couple of minutes, and only now he'd gathered the courage to walk up to her and talk to her.

"U-um...what's wrong?"

"Huh?" Rei turned when Emil spoke to her, her expression softening slightly. She recognized the blond as a boy she had seen around before, but never actually spoke to.

"Well.... I've just been under a lot of pressure lately, that's all." She sighed and ran a hand through her bangs.

"Oh..." She looked really stressed. He hoped he wasn't bothering her, but now that he'd started a conversation with her, he may as well continue it.

"If you need any help...I'll help you!"

Rei's expression brightened a little and she smiled appreciatively. "Thanks. I think I need something that'll get my mind off things right now..." And it certainly wasn't going to be training. Nu-uh. No way. Especially not when that's what frustrated her in the first place. Dueling? Somehow, the thought just gave her a headache. Besides, where would she find an opponent, anyway? Aki, Ruka, Crow, and Juudai-sama were all off on a mission. "... Any ideas?"

Emil closed his eyes in thought. She didn't look like she wanted to train, so he had to think of something else. He wasn't sure what kind of things she'd like to do though, so he thought for a while. Unfortunately, all that kept popping up was cooking, because that was his hobby.

"...how about cooking...? I don't know if you like to cook though..."

Rei's expression immediately brightened. "I love cooking! That's a great idea!" Seemed like Emil said the magic words there. Rei began pulling her hair back into a ponytail as she continued speaking, "My name's Rei Saotome, by the way."

Emil smiled brightly. Good, she liked his idea!

"I'm Emil Castagnier. Nice to meet you, Rei."

He idly wondered what kind of cook she was (maybe she cooked like Raine. Oh boy, he sure hoped she didn't. He also hoped she didn't cook like Marta or Richter. He might respect the red haired half elf, but there was no denying his cooking was horrible. He had an excuse though; it had been his first time.)

"Nice to meet you too, Emil," Rei chirped. She began walking inside, presumably towards the kitchens. "I'm surprised I didn't actually think of cooking myself! I used to make lunches for all my classmates back home!"
