Oh, but what was life without a challenge? Boring, Alice thought, and she was actually looking forward to this sparring match. The wolf had some sort of energy she had never seen before, and a less obsrevant person might have even mistaken her for a heartless.

Alice struck first, going for a blunt right swing toward her opponent. Things had changed quite a bit for Alice, but her wont for curiosity had never left her.

Ammy swirled away, dodging to her opponents left, then lunged forward with a growl, the blade over her shoulder sweeping out and into the girls path. It quickly recovered into a series of sweeping attacks at the far end of the swing, the glaive deceptively maneuverable for something so heavy looking.

She was playing it fast, more so than she had expected. For a first time keyblade wielder this would have been a problem, but Alice was flexible. She had, after all, last been in a world where just about everything in it wanted her killed, and there she'd had a blade too.

Of course, even being the Vorpal blade, it was a fragile thing compared to the Lost Memory, and it was something that she had practiced with for at least a month. She parried the attacks and returned with an upward swing, keeping her stance steady.

Ammy leaped upwards with the slash, flipping away at the apex as the keyblade continued in its arc. The large glaive adorning her back was fully visible for a moment as she continued her flip, and it had a distinct key shape to it. The circular hilt began to collect a glow as she landed, and then she leapt back to the attack, the now brightly glowing key-glaive arcing overhead in a downwards slash.

She grimaced: her opponent was just at good at dodging as she was, and she realized that whatever she might be, weak was not one of them. She was certainly not blind either: it looked as if she were powering up.

Damn. Magic. Alice was not an expert on that, it was something she was still getting used to, but could at least manage. She managed a block, and her mind locked onto the spell she'd learned a few weeks back.

But would she be able to use it in time?

As the key-glaive connected, the force of the blow multiplied, like its mass had increased suddenly. As heavy as it had been, this was like catching an airborne car. The ground buckled around Alice from the sheer force of the strike.

Alice gritted her teeth: that hurt, more like the kind of attacks that she faced in her world, and she'd been unprepared for that. Her muscles were crying out, her arms shaking and she paled, but pain wasn't going to stop her from at least counterattacking.

She was REALLY glad that Lost Memory had a long reach.

"FIRE!" She yelled, striking a magical blow at her enemy.

Still in midair from the recovery from her charged attack, The fireball struck Amaterasu directly in the back and blew her away from Alice, where she landed hard and rolled back to her feet as a sphere of sigils in green appeared and burst away from her, passing harmlessly through whatever they touched.

She didn't Seem harmed, but her fur wasn't shining as brightly as it had been before.

Oh, so NOT bloody fair. She could heal herself too?! Well, one did use whatever they could, she supposed. Still, that was going to make this fight even harder, so Alice couldn't take it lightly anymore. She put in a burst of speed and Lost Memory became her extended arm, going at her opponent with renewed vigor.

She wasn't going to take thing lying down.

Technically, you did "hurt" her, she just shows it differently. LOL amaterasu_wolf December 18 2010, 05:48:18 UTC
For a moment, Ammy began to ready her brush, before tabling the idea. This was supposed to be a sparring match right? No need to bring her more divine powers to the fore.

She did begin dodging more carefully though. As what seemed like an end approached, she brought forth Infinite Judge, it's form shattering like a puzzle and creating a large round barrier in front of her, catching the blade before her. Beads appeared around her neck and whirled to a high speed meanwhile, before she lashed out with a large, bluish energy whip.

Heh, I know. Alice doesn't though. She's still reeling. darker_alice December 18 2010, 05:59:49 UTC
Alice parried back, but saw that something big was coming, and she'd better prepare. She was suddenly very glad for her work with the ice blade: of all of the magic she knew, she was shaking on a few of them, but ice wall was actually simply a rerouting of a barrier herself.

"Defense!" she called out, and it reacted about her body as she charged on, full force.

As the whip lashed out, the bead at the midpoint of the whip contacted the barrier. Immediately, the other beads in the whip snapped to orient towards the barrier, and hammered into it in sequence like a machine gun.

Not letting up, Amaterasu's glaive was replaced by a second ring of beads, which she began firing in a stream herself.

Alice was really, really glad that the training she'd had, not to mention the ordeals she'd faced all her own, had taught her to deal with this kind of pain. It was still taking a toll though, and she shifted her weight a little, buckling a little at the onslaught.

She grimaced and held at the barrier, than started to edge closer, hoping to get close enough to fire off a volley at her opponent.
