[ Zipping along next to him, on her motorized inline skates. ] Whoa, there. Where's the fire? [ Figuratively or literally is fine; she just needs to know. ]
[ Subaru turns her head and stares. It's not a fire, but it's still kind of scary-looking. She might have stopped dead in her tracks, if that didn't look like a BAD IDEA.
And a bad idea that was catching up. ] Oh! [ This situation calls for two actions: get the civilian to safety, and then deal with the threat. ]
[ Skating closer, and a bit behind now, arms out and down low. ] Brace yourself!
Here I come! [ Hope he doesn't mind being carried, because that's exactly what Subaru is aiming to do. She's pretty skilled at swooping in low and snatching people up off their feet. It might be rough, but it's effective. ] Gotcha!
[ He's not talking -- which is weird -- but she gets that it's the signal.
At that, she positions her feet in a wider stance, giving him a more stable firing platform... and also ducks her head out of the way for good measure, holding onto him tight. ] Go for it!
[ The sight doesn't bother her -- maybe it was like Vita's attacks? It seemed to pack a similar punch, at any rate. Sparing a glance over her shoulder, she grins. ] Nice shot!
[ But the monster didn't look all that disabled after the attack, even though it was quickly falling behind. ] Alright, time to take care of this thing... Hold on! [ Skidding to a halt, she waited for her momentum to cease before carefully setting Link down onto the ground. ] Leave this part to me!
[ The jewel on her right skate flashed as the disembodied female voice replied. ] «Roger!»
[ Subaru brings her right fist up in front of her, the two threaded gears on her wrist spinning up. ] Revolver...
[ She brings the arm back, shifting her weight to punch the air in front of her. ] SHOOT! [ With the shout and the thrust of her hand, a bright blue beam of light lanced forth toward the monster, the only true visible indicator of the shockwave attack she just launched at the creature.
Whatever that thing was before, there wasn't going to be much left after that. ]

[The young man realizes that maybe he should do something. While he's being carried, he's going to try to bring out his bow]

However, combo attacks are nothing if not one of Subaru's specialties. ]
If you're going to do that, just tell me when you want a clear shot, okay? [ She has an idea already forming. ]

*Thwip!*
[He covers his eyes as the flying explosive zips right into the big maw]
*DDDDOOOOMMMM!*
[With a yelp, the creature goes flying back being stunned]
