Mostly for my own documentation.
Endeavour's going to the California Science Center!
There's basically three dates of interest. Around 9/20, Endeavour will be flown to LAX. I plan to be in LA to see it. Almost immediately afterwards, I need to be back home for a SCO event and a concert. Little Boots & Ladyhawke are going to play SF. It'll be a hopelessly short set, but so, so, so worth it.
Through 10/12 & 10/13, Endeavour will be on the shuttle overland transporter being slowly driven through the streets of downtown LA. Trees will have to be removed. They've been reworking intersections. It'll be utterly majestic. I plan to be there for it. So much so that I'll be flying directly from Minnesota -- a business trip -- to LA and then flying back up to SF.
The last date should be 10/30-ish which will be the unveiling of the exhibit. From what I hear, they want to exhibit Endeavour as the entire shuttle stack. I might very well do Halloween in LA this year.
For various reasons, I'm in the process of growing out my moustache again. I still haven't decided exactly what I want to do with it. I might redo a handlebar moustache, but I have a couple of other ideas to play around with first.
