huh?
Tonight I spent some time with Eric Smith so we could catch up finally. We went to Calhoun and took a walk around the lake and afterward we had some great pizza at Punch. But about halfway around the lake, we stopped and sat on a bench just to talk and enjoy the weather/watch people and comment. After a bit, we started giggling about this amazing farmer's tan we saw on a guy standing a few yards away behind us; we kept talking and then Eric said, "oh no..." At which point I realized that I heard a man coming up behind us, apparently talking on a phone or something. I assumed he'd walk past us and continue on his merry way, but I was wrong. He saw fit to sit down right next to me and put his arm around my shoulders. And look me square in the face.
I am certain he wasn't sober/all there. There was no phone, he'd been talking to himself. Eric and I were so taken aback by this that it took a few moments for it to register that a total stranger had just draped himself on me, but when it sank in we excused ourselves and walked away. Eric heard him say, "fine, go then" as we left.
