You know it's been a long time now; Since Pangaea I'd like to think

So the album is finished. Finally. I'm pretty happy with it right now, they did a really good job in the end. Let's hope this view stays the same tomorrow.

However, there is still a lot of work to be done. I still have to finish the album art (I decided to perform a revamp to lower the number of pages in the insert). There's still the issues of applying for copyright, ISRCs and an FEIN. I've gotta get in touch with CDBaby and then Amazon and iTunes, amongst other digital retailers. There's duplication for CDs to sell at shows. We also have to get a photoshoot done, which means we gotta make sure Chris has an outfit to wear for it. There's the MySpace and the website, both of which are extremely important. Need both these days, even if it is a bit redundant. Whatever.

Then I've gotta study business taxation again. Ugh, study... No, but seriously, I need to get on top of that, too. That and I've gotta start asking others about how to fetch my own gigs (paying ones). I've gotta practice for performance, which means practicing with a strap and practicing banter without rambling, posture without looking like a stormtrooper, authority without being imposing, and (most of all) sounding and looking good at the time.

There's plenty more than that to do, too, but I can't think of what those other things are right now. All I know for sure is that there's a lot, and no item is small.

And people think professional musicians are just slackers.

Just the ones who like to sell their souls to their record companies and managers.
