It's official! Visiting my favorite place in the entire world from February 13th til the 17th!
I've missed the city for so long. My trip in D.C. only emboldened my desire for her cracked concrete and $3 hot dogs, my need for her pedestrian congestion and all night restlessness, my love for her blunt and unrefined poetry and mesmerizing midnight lights. It's the only place I really can feel at home at.
I can't wait to move there for real, so I can stop paying $60 to visit a few short days at a time.
In other news, I think I've successfully confused myself again. I probably don't need to worry though. Nothing ever lasts.
I'm worried about a dear friend of mine that I finally spoke with on the phone tonite for the first time in what feels like forever. Her life updates and the tone of her voice made me feel a bit concerned, like she needed a pick me up or something. I'm crossing my fingers hoping I can do something to help.
Life is decent, despite all else.
