I can feel this energy on the rise; And this time; I'll bring back our sunshine
So Chris and I are coming up with track lists for the release now. We have 20 songs almost completely recorded, and we're stopping there, picking 15, and then we'll compare our lists and figure out a final track list. Of the songs that we've recorded, they are listed as such:

As you can see, the list is epic, and 5 of them won't make it on the release (though we have decided to release them online anyway through various means).
I'm really excited to finish this. I also already have some cover art for it, courtesy of Anna, that I am excited to finally get to use.
This song is epic, and the solos in it are awesome. There's 3 in it, each about a minute long, and the song itself is 8:35 long. It's fun, especially the end of it. To close the song, I composed sort of a chromatic dropoff thing goin' on, where it has a line going down from F#, to F, E, D#, D, C#, C, then up to D and down to A. Then I constructed a chord progression around that line, which ends up becoming D, Dm, C#m, D#, Bm, F#m, C, D, A. Basically makes it sound really cool and very finale-y. It's friggin' sweet, and makes me feel like more of a badass composer than I really am.
We just need to do some vocal work on a few tracks and then we're done! W00t! I'm really glad to almost be done with this monster.
