There's a cold wind blown over this side of the sea; Erasing all notions of you and me

I wrote a really good song that has a very simplistic structure yet a very detailed texture, along with some catchy vocals and a somewhat somber vibe. I'm really likin' it now. I'm going to finish recording it tomorrow, and then put it up on the LQ PureVolume account.

My favorite part of the song is that it's getting me back to my favorite chords, the jazzy 7ths and 9ths, and some 6's thrown in for good measure, plus some really fun and impressive voicings of regular triads, but without trying to show off, choosing instead to just let the chords flow naturally. It's really pretty, albeit sad.

I spent probably a good 2 hours on this song, an hour on the lyrics and then an hour on the music, it just needs a little tweaking for flow purposes, but other than that it came out really great. Like, I'm actually really proud of this song, even though at the same time it makes me a little nauseous, but that's because I drew from a couple inspirations for it, delving into a couple fears and disappointments of mine. There's also a reference to High Fidelity in the lyrics, and actually the title as well, but it fits the themes in the song well enough that it doesn't feel out of place or anything.

I can't wait to record this and show it off and have people get bored with it while I rant on and on about how great this song is!

Oh yeah, it's called:
