Today I am aching. Aching from the stress and strain of life without wheel-ed transport. I am such a city child.
Anyway, also today I have contrived to get Potted Potter out of my head by going to check out the local pool ( a bit too small and expensive, but the cafe brews Starbucks so its a go), and discovering the orgy of charity shops that is St John's street. There I also discovered Handbags and Gladrags which is (unsurprisingly) a proper vintage clothes store, and therefore discovered how I'm going to whittle away my hard-worked for wages.
I've also started my inevitable buying up of all the Glee Live 2011 merchandise I didn't buy on the night, so I now own an XL 'Likes Boys' shirt, which I will wear to bed with irony. I'm also bidding on a hoody that I'm like 76% sure isn't actual official merchandise, but it's a hoody and it says 'Glee' on it, so I'm bidding.
Predictably, this afternoon I relapsed and chilled out in Starbucks for a couple of hours reading Andrew Marr's 'A short history of journalim' in the vain hope it would give me a bit of a glimpse of the bizarre profession I seem to have been thrown into. Maybe not entirely relevant but, y'know: Andrew Marr, Plus, it is the only book I have with me that I haven't read already. I'm kinda hoping that all my liaising with Waterstones will earn me some free literature. But I'm not holding my breath.

De-stressing is awesome. Seriously, Starbucks is my happy place. All it needs is some rainbows and it's sorted. Damn I need another latte.
In other news, I'm gonna try posting some fic later, 'cos I've come to the disappointing revelation that none of these Wips are ever gonna get written. Plus, y'know: it doesn't count if you're in another country. Comments including despair and raucous mocking are always welcome.
Also, entirely unrelated: my chinese menu last night included a dish called 'an orgy of mushrooms'. Has anyone ever ordered that??
