"Voldemort's going DOWN..."

Ok, so. Sorry about the extended absence, anyone who's reading this. I was waiting to see if positive things would happen in my life that I could write about (rather than the incessant whining I've been indulging in offline). And turns out-- yay, positive things!!

Well, some positive things.

(Warning: I'm watching Glee s2ep1 as I'm writing this, so there will probably be breaks in this post while I quote shamelessly.)

I had a fabby time over Christmas, temping at Waterstones (BEST. JOB. EVER!) but unfortunately they didn't keep anyone on after New Year, so, once again: hello unemployment. It kind of sucks. But luckily, my stupidly generous friends at Eastwood Park Theatre are working their asses of to get me paid shifts, so I now get to be a Marketing Assistant/Steward/Arts Assistant and get paid for it-- at least some of the time. For instance, today? Got paid for sitting around listening to kids' stories :). Was epic.

(just saw an advert for Glee Live and feeling very smug that I already have my tickets :))

To be honest, as long as I get enough shifts that I can avoid signing on again at the soul-sucking-black-hole-of -doom that is the Jobcentre, I will be a happy lass :).

In other news, I'm now in charge of drama at Acting Up, so I get to spend evenings instructing kids on how to be convincing toasters. My drama kids are amazing. Thinking about doing a postgrad in some kind of arts development type thing (don't know if that exists...) if the job market doesn't start being a bit more friendly. Though I gotta say, the idea of going back to uni makes me kinda want to die. Think I've forgotten what a bibliography is.

(Sorry, distracted by Mike Chang's abs...)

So, 15 days in, 2011 is already better than 2010. I have a job (ish), and some enjoyable extracurriculars, and still probably more Starbucks time than is healthy for me. Unfortunately in the next few months I have about five weddings to attend, which'll probably knock me back into my mid-twenties funk (almost 25, ugh), and one of my friends is having a small baby child thing, which is freaking me out a bit (people should not be that small) , but I'm not gonna get ahead of myself.

(Distracted by Kurt's perfectly sculpted eyebrows)

Also, my discovery of the month is A Very Potter Musical, which my drama kids introduced me to (I know I'm fairly late to this party). It is absolutely freakin' hilarious and wonderful and almost legitimises the existence of YouTube. It's also pretty much single-handedly responsible for my love of Darren Criss, so I'm preparing for a massive fangirly freak-out when he makes his Glee debut :) :). Also, I'm gonna have to buy a tshirt, but I can't decide whether to go for : 'Keep calm, it's gonna be TOTALLY AWESOME!' or 'SuperMegaFoxyAwesomeHot'. My meagre wages will not stretch to both :(.

(Oh, the irony of Santana calling someone else a slut)

Okay, I'm rambling now always. Hoping to stick a review of Audition up before Brittany/Britney airs on Monday (which I won't get to see 'cos my delinquent sister is coming home to demand all of my time for the next week), 'cos I have some thoughts on Ryan Murphy's continued inability to write coherant plotlines. but until then:

love xxx

job stuff, wedding season, babies are weird, avpm, darren criss, theatre rocks my socks, real life sucks, glee
