Waves hi to all

I've been busy it seems since I haven't been to this journal in so long. Lets see… lots has happened in the last 2 years. First about dogs, Suka the Husky had to be returned. She needed more training and socialization than I could provide for her. She was fostered with a trainer and did eventually get adopted. I bought an eight week old Aussie Shepherd Golden Retriever cross puppy, raised him up and trained him to be my mobility assistant dog. In Aug, 2012 I had to have him put down. He had bad hips. I knew since he was 8 months old that I would eventually have to put him down. It was just sooner than later. In mid September I acquired another dog, a yellow Lab from a local breeder. She is 5, a retired show dog thats done having puppies. She is totally obedience trained and still willing to learn new unique tasks for me.
I've been taking a weekly painting class for over a year now. I'm working in watercolors. Now that Daniel Smith is making water soluble Oil paint its tempting but I'm not going there just yet. I have to much invested in my watercolors and its not cheep investing in another medium. I so need to update my art blog. I have most everything I have painted in the last year scanned. I just need to upload it all. My office space is not comfortable so I just don't spend much time in it. I now have an IPad so maybe I will be on line more as I have YIM on it. I'm also making lace again. I do it while Im waiting for paint to dry.
Rick is still commuting to Boeing and still loves his work there. Remodeling the house is an ongoing hobby for him. We still get to all the local SF conventions.
Fleetwolf is still with us. He graduated from our local JC last spring and is now working on the mainland. Fleets old Husky died and he replaced her with a Corgi.
Life is stable on Whidbey island and most of the time almost boring. For anyone wanting to visit just call and I will put the tea pot on.
