Its been an open winter and Spring is early.
The verdict is still out on exactly what condition I have. Something Rheumatic something auto immune. At this point I don't care what its called. I'm walking and the more I do the more I can do, I will do as much as I can and I will do more. So far the simplest things I've done for my condition have made the biggest difference. I no longer eat beef. I now eat mostly chicken and have lowered my animal protein intake by quite a bit. Whole grain complex carbs in moderation are a good thing for a Diabetic so lowering my protein has been a good thing without impact on my diabetes. The reason for not eating beef is to lower my inflammation and pain levels. I am less stiff and have less pain. Its all part of the "Anti-inflammatory Diet." I'm exploring.
I'm still herd boss of a busy and ever changing household.
Im painting, I'm contributing to collaborative art. My creative process is ever expanding. What I'm currently doing can be seen here
http://artbytesscalhoun.blogspot.com/ I casually tend the land, light gardening and orchard watching. The land has been good to me. This summer is probably going to be hot and to dry requiring me to water. I will cope.
This equine continues to run with wolves. Dandy is a great little dog and well trained but there are times I need a larger dog. I need a dog that can help me get up from a chair and brace me when needed. There isn't anything Dandy wont try to do but he is small. He has beefed up to a Hefty 12 pounds and looks and acts like a Miniature Pincher and no longer much like a Chihuahua other than coloring. He just cant do what a big dog can. I'm now looking to acquire a second dog. Something in the Shepherd working dog mix category. German Shepherd / anything else mix. Aussie anything shepherd cross, mix type. Any age between puppy and 2 years of age is best for training. Medium to large size, strong, semi energetic and liking to be outside and go for walks as well as gentle and quiet when inside the house. I can train any dog with an intense need to please. Most herd and bird dog type working dogs have this trait. I know dogs like this exist. I have met them. I just need to find one I can afford and that needs a human of their own. I'm hoping to find one through my local no kill animal shelter but most shelter dogs have problems. I can find lots that fit 3 out of my 4 requirements but so far 4 out of 4 hasn't happened yet. My 4th requirement is the dog must not be just tolerant of other dogs but play well with other dogs. I haven't been seriously looking for long so Im not discouraged besides I don't get easily discouraged about anything. I will find my perfect dog.
Sorry I don't post here more I'm busy, I have a life. I live in the now and plan for the future. Im not shutting any of you out but if you want to be part of my life make it so. My door is always open.
