Ive been making and trading ATCs like hot cakes at a fair. The goldfish had Koi are still popular. Ive found a few other Watercolor artists among the general ATC community of stampers and collage type ATC artist. The types and styles are vast and so far my ATCs are a hit among the groups I've joined on line. I like small format I can complete a piece in a short time instead of days. I do get into swaps where I do make the collage assemblage type ATC that does take time, some times days to do since they are usually a group of 3-6 ATCs to make at a time. I had to join the "Chocolate" swap. I collected chocolate wrappers of all kinds for a week. Then glued them all over a piece of canvas paper, cut them to size. The 2 1/2 x 3 1/3 pieces I then individually decorated with small bits of wrapper and glued a Andies Chocolate mint to each and tied a a ribbon on it. Chocolate can be removed from its wrapper without tearing and the wrapper then folded back in so it just flattens a little and the memory of chocolate remains. I sent them in last week so havent heard back yet on them. I also joined in on the "Fortune Cookie" swap. I collect the fortunes out of the cookies every chance I get . I dont know why I just do. I used them on my Fortune Cookie ATCs. I painted canvas paper in a deep chinese red and gold leaf paint. I made fabric cookies and glued them on . I decorated over the top with rice and or silver beads and very fine iridescent glaze. To see my latest ATCs check out my photobucket. Ive also started a Blog about how and why I make them.
