Mortain
Mortain is staying with us for at least the next couple of weeks. Early Friday morning the house she was living in burned. She was living with Friends and their family. There was one fatality, Judy stayed in the house just a couple of minutes to long trying to make sure everyone got out and was taken by smoke inhalation. Most of the pets died of smoke inhalation as well. 2 cats are still missing. All of their belongings are destroyed either by fire or water and smoke damage. The other survivors are staying with family members or friends. Mortain and one of the girls got out through a second story window. The other survivors escaped from the ground floor. Mortain lost her cats, computer books everything she owned that was in the house. She has the cloths on her back and her car. We are going to Oak Harbor tomorrow to start getting her plugged into the system and Red Cross. Red Cross will help with immediate needs. Someone has already offered to help with getting a rebuilt commuter put together for her. However she will need to replace all her art supplies and equipment , gaming books, cloths size 5x etc... The list seems endless of all the small but very important things she has lost. These things may seem trivial to some but to her they are parts of her life that keep her sane and whole.
