So here's the card I made for my landlady's daughter. She's getting married tonight. Wednesday night was the pre-wedding party in traditional Arabic dress, of which I was given one. It is beautiful. The weddings in this part of the world are a bit different. The men and women are separated. Even on the wedding night. Well, not the night, but during the ceremony. The other different thing is time it starts - 9pm. The pre-wedding didn't end until 3am and it will be interesting to see what time this one ends. At least the gift-giving is easier. You either give money or gold. I bought her a small pair of 22k earrings. I'm not expected to give a gift since I'm the only non-Arabic guest, but my conscious cannot fathom not giving a wedding gift.
Well, I need to get my butt moving.
