woke up really early today for the yearbook photos. that was a drag.
then i took the car and hung out with jessica, jessie and lauren. we
went to rollerworld. we were the oldest people there, besides the
people who worked there and the parents. we were cool-dorks. i fell on
my ass and stomach/boob six times. no one else fell down except for me.
i represented two falls for each of my friends, because i'm a good
friend like that. i take falls for the ones i love. i got a giant
bruise on my knee and ass.
then we went the mall at 2:30ish. we roamed around. we headed back to
the car at 5ish. some nice lady who was pulling up to vacant spot next
to mine pointed to my right fender. i was getting a little scared. i
thought she hit my bumper or something. i really didn't have much to
worry about. my car is pretty sturdy. chrome bumper. the thing can't
dent. but it was much worse.
some fucking asshole slashed my right tire. i was freaking out.
paranoid as hell. i couldn't think straight. i didn't know what to do.
first call my sister? go back into the mall, tell security? what?
i don't remember what happened first. ooh, the nice lady told me that
everything was going to be okay. she told me to go to the costomer
service/info desk to tell them what happened. then like 10 minutes
later the security people arrived. she was quite nice. called AAA.
again, in total freak mode. i thought AAA would have to contact arbella
or something. can't drive with friends for the first six months.
definately going to have my license revoked. they told me it had
nothing to do with it. well, then my parents. holy shit. the took down
my information and such. they tried to see what happened, but they
couldn't. god damn security cameras suck these days. the security lady
said, i had nothing to worry about. at least, they didn't slash all
four tires. they didn't smash any windows and luckily enough, the car
is still here. jessie asked if my spare was a doughnut tire. i was
like, 'what? huh?' luckily it's a real one.
umm... 30 minutes later AAA arrived. didn't have my dad's membership
card on me. so, everyone generously chipped in for $50 for them the
change the tire. thanks, guys. umm... still in panic mode. so i chose not to sleep
over. i told mommy. she took it extremely well. at least nothing
serious happened. no one got hurt. people are just dickheads. (yes,
those were her very words). then she continued to say, hide the flat
one behind the garage.
so i did that. daddy doesn't know yet. i'll tell him i guess? i really
don't know how to approach it.shit.
it's so weird. before i left my house, i was thinking, what could
happen today? would today be my very last day? it's kinda surreal. i
wanted to ask one of my friends if we could do something tomorrow. so,
at least i knew there there would be something i could do tomorrow. i
have no plans. maybe death was on my checklist?
well, one final thing.
i'm glad to be alive. (yeah, it gets boring sometimes. but i have my health. i couldn't ask for more)
i'm glad that my friends are alive, even the ones who weren't in the car with me.
(so, matt, mike, jake, amanda, chris... anyone who i normally or rarely talk to... just really glad)
i'm glad that my family is alive.
i'm glad that the tire didn't combust while we were on the highway.
i guess you could say i have a new found respect for life.
