MS Walk

So I just got back from the MS Walk in Sheboygan. I was there taking the team pictures before they started on their walks. I don't have many friends here on lj, and I think most of you probably already know that my mom has MS. I was involved in an MS readathon when I was younger, where people donated a certain amount of money for every book you read in a couple of months or one month or something. I read hundreds of books, raised lots of money, and won state! It was exciting, got free trip to Disney and lots of other stuff. In high school I started my own bike-a-thon. We had fun doing that one too. Other than that I haven't been involved in any of the MS fundraisers. This was the first big even I've been to for MS. It was amazing seeing all of those people and knowing that they all were somehow personally affected by MS. One of the teams had over 50 members. A college student just found out last year that she has MS. Already last year and again this year over 50 friends and family came together to support her and raise money for a cure. It took all I had in me to hold back tears. It was a very beautiful and humbling experience! Next year I really want to get a team together and walk it. I couldn't this year. Tendonitis. But next year I think that would be a really good time. I could take pictures again, since that is done before the walk starts. Depending on the weather, maybe I could even push my mom through the walk. It would depend on how sunny it was outside. I think she would just love that though.

Maybe once my computer is back to normal I can get a couple of pictures on here. It was really a great time!
