Yamapi's proposal causes fans to faint at Taiwan concert
Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS finished his solo concert tour in Taiwan, which had been postponed, on May 22. Yamashita was welcomed by enthusiastic fans where he revealed his "proposal" on stage, greatly pleasing his fans.
The Taiwan concert was held over three days, with tickets selling out quickly. Sales are expected to have exceeded over 1 billion yen. On May 21, the second day of the tour, Yamapi appeared on stage, waving his hands in front of 5,000 fans, shaking hands, throwing kisses and giving other fanservice.
During the question and answer session with fans, he was asked, "In the future, how will you propose to your bride?" Yamashita's response was "I want you" [In English], causing screams to erupt from his fans.
Yamashita began his Asian solo tour in January. He had successful concerts in Hong Kong, Seoul, and in Thailand, however, the Taiwan concert, originally scheduled to occur in March was postponed due to the earthquake. Yamashita finished up his concerts on May 22 in Taiwan and headed back to Japan where he'll finish up his tour on the 29th.
