Johnny’s Jr. group A.B.C-Z have been performing parodies from Koichi Domoto and Hideaki Takizawa’s famous shows in their latest stage show, it was revealed on April 29, reports Oricon.
For the second year in a row, the group had kicked off the season of their self-produced show “みんなクリエに来てクリエ 2011 (Minna Kurie ni kite Kurie 2011)”. This year saw the group fuse together comedy and musicals, which explains the parody performances of their Johnny’s seniors shows.
“We respect our seniors so we’ve made sure we don’t go over the line, but we do try to get as close as we can to it,” Shota Totsuka said.
When asked by the press whether they group had Koichi Domoto’s blessing to do a parody about him, Koichi Goseki confessed that they had not. His group member Fumito Kawai also elaborated on the fact.
“We do respect him…but if Koichi-kun came to our show, I think we’d be panicking,” he said.
It has been reported Johnny’s & Associate president Johnny Kitagawa had thought up the idea of bringing together comedy and musicals, but the actual script, stage direction, and planning was done by all five A.B.C-Z members.
A.B.C-Z spent a long time last year performing in their seniors shows including Takizawa’s “新春 滝沢革命(Shinhun Takizawa Kakumei)” and “PLAYZONE”. The group’s show “みんなクリエに来てクリエ 2011 (Minna Kurie ni kite Kurie 2011)” is part one of a four-part show. The second part involves a special live performance by Kis-My-Ft2 members Hiromitsu Kitayama and Taisuke Fujigaya, the third a show by A.B.C-Z members, and the fourth a show including Mis Snow Man members and Johnny’s Jr. The show’s season finished on May 29.
It has been reported all pre-tickets have been sold.
